Open to anyone who is 50 years old and older. Competition is offered for men and women in 5 year age increments from 50-54 to 100 and over.


The State Games showcase teams as well as individual elite and recreational sports from active events such as Basketball, Swimming, Track & Field, Golf, Tennis, Cycling, Pickleball, and Triathlon to less strenuous skill events like Bowling, Horseshoes, Shuffleboard, Table Tennis, Badminton, Archery and Bocce. Non-Ambulatory sports include, Shuffleboard, Bowling, and Horseshoes.


In addition to the sporting events and educational sessions, there is also a Cookout, Dinner and Dance, Celebration of Athletes, Health Fair and Screenings, Bingo, Fitness and Education Classes and more.  The socialization aspect of the State Games is a critical component of the longevity and success of the SCSSC.
